Mark Odland- Blaine Foundation- $100,00 Gift to Rotary, $400,00 in past 4 years

  1. The next social hour is scheduled for Nov. 9th, 5:30pm at 3 Blonds.
  1. Our next scheduled Blessings in a Backpack is Thurs. is Nov. 3rd
  1. This year’s Salvation Army Bell Ringing service project is scheduled for Dec. 10th.  Please add that to your calendar to participate for an hour…or 2.  Thank you Griffin and Sandra for taking the lead in organizing this project for us again this year. Sign up sheet passed around.
  1. On Oct. 20th we presented both a “small” check and the “big” check for $2,500 to Kerry Hagy, Exec. Dir. of the South Haven Center for the Arts.  Thank you to Dana, Paul, Tom Renner and Dave Campbell for fitting this event into your schedules.  Since July 1st the Club has donated over $30,000 to community organizations which includes our District matches and the Bob Stickland memorial funds.
  1. Yesterday was Rotary International’s World Polio Day.  Many events and fund raisers were held to continue to support the eradication of this terrible disease throughout the world.
  1. It has been brought to my attention that the Club used to convene its meeting at 7am then almost immediately revert to 10 minutes of conversation amongst the members at their tables.  Show of hands on how many would like to see this tradition return.
  1. Dana Hullinger, working on new marketing Materials and also working on a  Rotary Brochure.  November 22- Membership Public Image Committees to meet after Rotary and Discuss the brochure.
  1. Rotary is serving Christmas Dinner at United Methodist Church on Tuesday, December 20th , Details to come.

  • 2020 Customer Service at the City of South Haven and ran 3 Elections
  • August 2022 First State Election by herself
  • Must vote in 2 State Elections to stay registered
  • South Haven has a high % of registered voters
 
Mary Sue Lyon thanked Megan for her presentation and presented her with a $25.00 Fleming Brothers Oil and Convenience Mart Gift Card.
