The meeting was called to order at 7 a.m. by President Thompson.
 
We began with the Pledge of Allegiance. Art Ayers offered the invocation.
 
We had 63 accounts on-line today. Given the multiple visitors within households there were probably 100 people in the audience.
 
ANNOUNCEMENTS
* President Thompson gave a special welcome to our many guests. He reminded everyone to VOTE.
 
* The November 19th Community Dinner volunteer signup is fully subscribed. Volunteers will be needed for the December 17th Community Dinner.
 
* The Board will meet next Tuesday, Nov. 10th after our regular meeting.
 
* Member SPOTLIGHTS will resume next Tuesday. Stu will be the first presenter.
 
* Michigan Maritime Museum sent a "thank you" for the Rotary grant which helped in the restoration of water-damaged display cases.
 
* The Kenya Project is moving along with a contractor to be selected for construction of the water retention system. South Haven Rotary has committed $5,000 toward the project.
 
* Heidi and Joel from Taste have been named recipients of a District 6360 Golden Trowel Award.
 
* We are looking for volunteers to help in the planning of a virtual fund raiser to benefit the We Care Utilities Pantry. Contact Rosalie if you are willing.
 
* Rotary volunteers are needed to help SHOUT decorate the Dyckman Bridge for the holidays this Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m. A one hour commitment.
 
* The Membership Commitment will be launching a new-member recruitment initiative in the coming weeks.

* Dyland commended the club for its service projects
* Dan's son Andrew celebrated a birthday.
* Tom Renner noted several family November birthdays
* Art so enjoyed having his son in town this past weekend
* The Swansons celebrated the birthdays of a son and grandson
* The Brickman marked the birthday of a granddaughter
* Mark and LaRae are grandparents -- their fifth!
* Larry Wittkop celebrated his Sparties
 
Somehow our "traditional" Happy Birthday song became the MSU Fight Song.

PROGRAM
We were pleased to host Dr. David Myers, distinguished social psychologist and professor at Hope College. He spoke to the impact that the COVID pandemic is having on our mental health.
 
 
The presentation was recorded. We hope to make it available on-line in the coming days.
 
NEXT WEEK

Brent Nichols is an airline captain for United Airlines.  He will be speaking about safe airline operation in an everyday world prior to our pandemic and how to travel with assurance in a COVID  world.
