We received a thank-you note from Stephanie Kohler-Pagan the Director of Lory’s Place for our Contribution.
We’ll be scheduling a pancake breakfast organizing meeting later this month.
Please sign up for the July 3rd Pancake Breakfast and the July 4th parade. Sign-up sheets on the back table.
The Rotary transition dinner will be Thursday June 30 at Hawks Head restaurant and golf course. The Invite will be posted on the website!

Mark Odland announced that our South Haven Rotary Club is ranked #1 in our district in amount given to the Rotary Foundation!
Dan Thompson-Golf Tournament  June 30th starts at noon.  We need 1 More Golfer please!!
There will be a Board Meeting following this meeting.
Don Hodgman-Tickets for the pancake breakfast were at the meeting today in groups of ten.  Please initial by your name and put the amount of tickets you are taking.  The cost to the membership is $10.00 per ticket.

Jerry Gruber’s oldest daughter has a Birthday!  An old friend called to remind him of the 61st Anniversary of their graduation from Pharmacy School.
Dene Hadden- Monday June 6 his wife has enjoyed 52 years of Marital Bliss!
Art’s Granddaughter Una celebrated a Monday June 6 Birthday.
Kayleigh’s daughter graduated from High School Sunday and her son won the Tournament Championship!
Mark Odland today June 7th marks State Farm Insurance’s 100th anniversary they are the Largest property and casualty insurance company.
Dan Thompson reminded us all that June 6th was D Day.

Scholarships- Dene Hadden- The South Haven Rotary Club gave 4 , $1000.00 Scholarships. The winners will be stopping by a meeting to introduce themselves and get a picture taken. Dene wanted to Thank Ross Woodhams and Griffing Graham for their help.

  • Native of South Haven and grew up here
  • Passionate about helping low-income families
  • South Haven Housing Commissioners Executive Director since 2018
John has a strong background in workforce Development spent 15 years managing, Welfare Reform, Workforce Innovation and opportunity, designing programs and writing curriculum.
John previously worked in Grand Rapids managing the most frequently trafficked Workforce Development Service Center in Southwest Michigan.
These past four years John has been transitioning into housing and bringing that same passion to a new industry that serves the same population.
John’s goal is to help encourage, uplift and bring hope to marginalized groups.
 
Bill Roberts thanked John for his presentation and presented him with a Fleming Brothers Oil and Convenience Mart Gift Card.  Our next  Rotary Meeting is Tuesday, June 14, 2022, starting at 7 a.m. here at Peace Lutheran Church. Our guest speaker is Jeff Weber, from the National  Blueberry Festival sponsored by Tom Rummel. See you next week!
