 Announcements:
 
  1. Blessings in a Backpack volunteers needed next Thurs., Jan. 12th and Wed. Jan. 18th at 10:30am North Shore School. 
  2. Thank you to the 28 Rotarians and families for supporting our Salvation Army Bell Ringing Service Project on Dec. 10th and special thanks to Griffin and Sandra for taking the lead on this service project.  We raised over $1750 that day.
  3. Thanks as well to the 19 Rotarians and friends who served the Dec. 20th Christmas Open Door Dinner at the United Methodist Church.  Thank you, Jerry Gruber for leading this effort and to Amy Nichols for assisting.  What a great team they made in the kitchen!
  4. We have received thank you notes from both SHAES and the SHOUT organizations for our grants to their organizations.
  5. The board has approved the membership application for Mike Matheny to join the Club and he will be inducted next Tues.  Mike, we look forward to officially welcoming you as a new member.
  6. Other board decisions made at its Dec. 20th meeting include:
    1. In 2023-24 year, approved an incentive for recruiting leadership of providing $1,000 for the President Elect and VP to attend a Rotary International leadership development training event at a level higher than the District 6360 training already provided.
    2. Sponsor an ice sculpture for the 2023 Ice Breaker event
  7. Dana Hullinger has the final draft of the new Club promotional tool which has been developed jointly by the Membership and Public Image committees.  Dana, take it away.
 
Dana rolled out the new promotional business card for Rotary it is a 4 sided card that talks about Rotary.It has a QR Code on the back -Pats Pronto Print helped and is making the cards.500 to start.
 
Dave Campbell- The total Holiday Party Donation to We Care from Rotary was $ 9,525.00 a motion was made by Jerry Gruber to make it an even $10,000 and was seconded by Don Hodgman. So we will be donating an even $10,000 to We Care.

Bob Copping-Holiday Season is pretty much over, whoever put the s in the word “fast food” is a marketing genius!!

  • 2017 took a sabbatical and did a 500 mile walking pilgrimage in Spain
  • 2020 Bringing the Gift of learning to incarcerated men.
 
Mary Sue Lyon thanked Dr. Richard Ray and he was presented with a $25.00 gas card provided by Fleming Brothers Oil and Convenience Mart.  The meeting was adjourned promptly at 8 a.m. with the Four Way Test.
