Educational Fundraiser – Dean Hadden and Deb Davidson April 30th
 
Next Meeting is May 10th which is also a board meeting. No Meeting May 3rd.

 The South Haven History Club will present a Night at The Museum on Saturday May 14, from 2 till 5pm at the Liberty Hyde Bailey Museum, 903 Bailey Avenue, South Haven, MI.
 Car Show sponsored by the Rotary Club will be May 18th in the parking lot of the Senior Center. The hours are approximately 4 till 7pm. Confirmation of actual hours of the event will come later.
 
Nominations for the citizen of the year and Rotarian of the year are still being accepted.
Optional Discussion about Ukraine Contributions. Paul Hix. Last call for donations total donation so far is $68,600!
 Blessings in a backpack Wednesday May 5th and May 12th
Arbor Day Tree Planting – The planting of the tree will be Friday, April 29 (Arbor Day). It will be at Kids corner at 10:00 am It will be brief. Rotarians should bring shovels. We'll be joined by students from Maple Grove School and perhaps some Cub Scouts.
The Rotary transition dinner will be Thursday June 30 at Hawks Head restaurant and golf course. The golf course might be used before the dinner. See Dan Thompson to help set up the golf event. $100.00 per person. $125.00 per team.  Silent Auction.
We have been asked to participate in the July 4th parade Rotary’s part would involve manning the streets around the parade route, while Kiwanis would be helping at the staging area. Becky Burkerk will set up a meeting in May.
We’re planning on Pancake breakfasts for Sunday July 3rd and Sunday August 14th 2022. There will be special volunteer opportunities to inventory and clean our pancake breakfast equipment before the July event.
My wife and I attended the latest Chamber of Commerce ABO event. I met the new Liberty Hyde Bailey director who lives in Grand Haven. She is a Rotary member there but because of schedule cannot participate here as she wished that she could.  I also had an interesting conversation with a woman at the straw market in Nassau. She was wearing a Rotary cloth mask. She was not in Rotary but had helped with the local vaccination effort down there.

Bill Roberts Thanked Paul for his presentation.  No Rotary Next Week due to our Educational Fundraiser.  We meet again May 10th.  The Program is  the President of The Michigan Petroleum Institute, The Energy Markets,  sponsored by Tom Fleming.
 
The meeting was ended with the Four Way Test and adjourned promptly at 8 a.m. See you May 10th!
